New Year’s Resolutions are not the same as goals. Resolutions are vows, like vows to stop smoking or eating a certain food,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], or start exercising every day. With them, one breakdown breaks the vow and makes you a failure. New Year’s resolutions are a bad idea.
Is it better to have no hopes and desires for the year? Is it better to expect the New Year to hold no promise of better things to come? A friend’s mother thought so. When I was a young man she told me “It’s better not to expect good things, because then you won’t be disappointed”. However,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], this method did not work well for her. She didn’t expect good things,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], got just what she expected, very few good things —and she was always disappointed!

We’ve made New Year’s resolutions in the past, only to break them within days, and we’ve heard it is better to not make them, better not to set out on something that is almost sure to fail.
* Are there good things you haven’t let yourself have because you’ve not felt ready or deserving? Maybe you’re ready. If you make efforts at the right things,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], you absolutely are deserving. Write it down.
Now, take this list of dreams out every once-in-a-while to review and dare to imagine them happening. Think of what you can do this month and this week to help bring them about. Let your heart desire what it needs and let it get excited about tomorrow. Celebrate every step forward. Respond to any reverses with renewed intent until moving forward becomes the entrenched habit.
This year, instead of making resolutions that you know are destined to fail, sit down and put to paper what you’d like to have happen if your efforts produced the results you want.
Don’t be vague about what you’d like in your life. Admit your desires and goals. Write them down. Usually, the only things that happen by accident are accidents. So, be clear. Identify where you’d like to go. Expect some good things. Maybe you’ll get lots. Imagine life unfolding for you this year in better ways than ever before. You’re older, wiser, moving forward in time and life, toward new potentials that are your birthright, a creative being in a creative world. Make a list and put it in a safe place.
Forget about making resolutions and forget about testing yourself in some contest you don’t really care about. Dare to imagine doing the things that are really important to you. Imagine a power within you that can kindle the flames that bring them to reality. Regardless of what happens in 2012, make sure you don’t miss out.

A happy relationship doesn't mean that your partner has to conform with your set of rules.
Stress create negative emotions that can jeopardize a relationship. What you and your partner need to do is fine a better way to deal with your own emotions instead of taking it out on each other,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych]. Take responsibility of your own feelings and not put it on each other. This is the cause for many fights that break out,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych]. These people lash out on their partner because of their own negative emotions,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych]. This is not fair and it will slowly weaken your relationship until you find a better way of coping with your own emotions.
Stopping a breakup is tough work. Don't expect yours problems to be gone overnight because it took a long time for them to develop. If you want to make your relationship work,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], you must be prepared to put effort and hard work into it, especially if it's been suffering for quite some time.
Is your relationship hit a rough patch? Perhaps you think a break up might just happen. If you feel like this is you then anticipate tougher times ahead. Relationships actually have the capacity to mentally and physically affect us. If have the intent on stopping a break up, then be prepared to put in a lot of effort and work.
You can also practice acceptance by keep expectations realistic for your partner. We usually place standards on our partners and expect them to fulfill our expectations. Keep in mind that your partner is only human like you-- one that has their own faults and shortcomings. How would you feel if your partner put a really high expectation on you,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych]. Can you imagine all the problems that can arise because of unrealistic expectations not being met.

I'll be giving you a more specific advice instead of the usual advice you hear about improving your communication or your sex life.
You can easily prevent breakups by maintaining awareness of the relationship. There's a good chance that you can make better decisions if you are fully aware what you and your partner are feeling and how it would reflect in your life,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych].

I say it takes both a rock solid strategy and an incorruptible mindset to stand out and manage the ebbs and flows of the market. Look at great examples like Warren Buffet and Donald Trump. They have problems, sure! They stick to their strategy, focus on what is most important (their purpose,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], goal or vision) and retain an incorruptible mindset.
Just as for individuals so too do companies have a set of priorities. Company priorities represent what a company contributes to society, its customers and its employees. It is the company’s purpose for existence. When companies are swayed away from their core and look into how to compete then they end up losing focus and meeting the priorities which they think is theirs. So when the recession hits they forget how to act and they react. They don’t know who they are and what they stand for any longer.
I attended a talk by renowned coach and trainer Mark Fraser-Grant and he said that “things exist in society by permission”,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych].
What he means by this is that we give permission for events to happen to us. Those who react to the economy have given themselves permission to be powerless,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych]. Those who are guided and respond to changing conditions have given themselves permission to run the market and be in control.
Mark also said that “clarity in consciousness equals clarity in reality”. What I got from this is that when we are 100% clear and certain as to what we are looking for as a result then our reality becomes clear. Without clarity we hesitate,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], frustrate are doubtful and fearful.
Is it really a choice,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych]?
Choices are made consciously and unconsciously,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych]. When our lives are run by our emotions and our ever nagging thoughts then unconsciously we choose to participate in the recession. When our minds and emotions are run by our conscious direction then you can choose whether or not to participate in the recession or anything else for that matter.
In my courses I show people how we are conditioned to follow the unconscious patterns without knowing,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych]. Reality cannot be faulted. If the majority of the populace is chasing money and has more month at the end of their money then you better believe it that we are not independent and we are not free. You are free when you are free to choose your results and when your reality displays that sense of freedom as a matter of fact,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych].
I attended a business forum and the speaker said exactly the same thing: “I refuse to participate in the recession”. That got my attention,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych]. Especially when he proved that his schedule was fully booked and nothing changed for him.
What is the difference between him and those that are participating in the recession? Well,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], most people choose to participate in the recession others don’t!
Not too long ago I walked into Bidvest offices and noticed a sign up on the wall. It stated “We refuse to participate in the recession”.
Well, if we each have a set of priorities in life and we feed those priorities then we are kind of satisfied. The fact is that we endure to have more needs that can be satisfied. The problem lies when people don’t feed what is most important to them and they focus on what is important to everyone else. Thus trying not only to feed their own needs but also the needs they think are theirs.

Stage 3: Initiative vs. Guilt (3 to 6 years old)
During this stage the challenge is to commit to another in a loving relationship. The success of this stage is usually determined by how well children fared in the previous stages. If previous stages lead child to experience overall feelings of insecurity,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], inadequacy,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], shame,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], and low self-esteem it is more difficult to sustain a healthy and loving relationship. If there is anything parents want it’s the successful development of their children. The challenge here is to develop a willingness to try new things and to handle failure.
